The craniofacial orthodontist plays a vital and integral role in the management of craniofacial anomalies such as cleft lip and palate and craniofacial syndromes — from birth up to the complete cessation of active growth in adult life — and, as a member of the craniofacial team, can make use of remarkable advances in diagnosis and management.يلعب أخصائي تقويم الوجه والفكين دوراً حيوياً وأساسياً في علاج تشوهات الوجه والفكين مثل الشفة الأرنبية وشق الحلق ومتلازمات الوجه — من الولادة حتى اكتمال النمو في مرحلة البلوغ — ويستفيد كعضو في فريق الوجه والفكين من التطورات الكبيرة في التشخيص والعلاج.
